This Charger consists of high quality monocrystalline cells set within a substantial and quality aluminium frame. It comes with a full fitting kit which comprises of 2 x drilled angles brackets with stop screw; allowing fixing to any flat surface, and the panel to be set at the optimum angle. There is a 1.5 metre length of cable and battery clips for direct attachment to a battery or indirect attachment through a controller.
The panel is weatherproof.

Now with the latest Monocrystalline cell construction (the best you can get) and covered with toughened glass. Crystalline panels are more expensive to produce than amorphous silicone but last longer and are more efficient and therefore the panels are much smaller for the same output. These panels do not need bright sun, they work in any daylight conditions, all year round.

If you choose not to use a controller you connect the charger directly to the battery. It is however recommended that a controller is used with panels of over 15 watt, in which case you connect the panel to the controller and the controller to the battery.

Although advertised as a car battery charger it will charge any rechargeable battery that requires 12 Volts DC. and it would not be a difficult job to lengthen the cable.

There is a diode in the circuit that prevents the battery power returning to the solar charger.

The charger is also weatherproof, so is additionally suitable for motor cycles, caravans and boats, electric fences .

They work in any light conditions, the brighter the light the greater the charge.

The panels come complete with fixing brackets and bolts and a connecting cable and clips. The brackets are separate items and you can use the panel with or without these. The layout of the cells on the panel may vary from that shown in the picture but the specification stays the same.

Both chargers and controllers are well made; the chargers having a substantial aluminium frame that should give years of service. They come with a 12 Month Manufacturers' Warranty but you are not likely to need it.
