The gift of a bottle of wine is often associated with party time and so we have made our designs upbeat. However, sometimes the mood needs to be softened a little to match a specific occasion. A bottle of wine is in order but with the occasion being what it is, a big whiz-bang message of congratulations might not be in keeping. This series of greeting cards might be classed as a bit saucy or a bit risqué but the humour is pitched at a level that is somewhere around the mark of a traditional British seaside postcard. The style of humour has been around for a while with the likes of Glen Baxter setting the trend of linking absurd captions to familiar pictures back in 1981 with his first book called "The Impending Gleam". Weight watching – now there’s a subject that would have been a pier–end comedian’s dream. These days it’s certainly not pc to poke fun at people who are overweight – but where’s the fun in being politically correct?
